Introduction

        Woman suffrage went down to defeat in Colorado in 1877 by 7,441 votes more than a two-to one margin. 14,053 Colorado voters cast ballots against the referendum, while only 6,612 voted in favor of the measure. This table broke down the election results by county.[A]
