I'm Erma Bombeck.

Last summer I enjoyed visiting your state and Waterloo, Des Moines, and Council Bluffs.  As usual, lots of funny things happened to me.  But today, I want to talk about equality and the only funny thing about that is how anyone in their right mind could be against it.

On November 4, Iowans can guarantee equality for all Iowa women by voting yes to a state equal rights amendment.  Give the gift of equality to your mothers, wives, daughters, grandmothers, sisters. 

Vote yes, November 4.  Make Iowa a real state of equality.
