Biography of Florence Allen, 1884-1966

Florence Ellinwood Allen was a lawyer and a New York Supreme Court judge. She lived for a period at Henry Street Settlement in New York City and worked with Maud Wood Park of the College Equal Suffrage League. While still a law school student she participated in the New York to Washington, D.C. suffrage "hike" that preceded the great NAWSA suffrage parade in the nation's capital in March 1913.
