Document 95: Video, Elaine DeLott Baker, interview at Hunting Island, Beaufort, S.C., Spring 1995, Elaine DeLott Baker Papers, Schlesinger Library, Radcliffe Institute, Harvard University.

Introduction

Connie Curry invited George King, a professional filmmaker who had produced several documentaries on civil rights topics, to tape interviews with each of us, for a possible documentary. Because it was intended as a companion piece to the "yet to be written" book, which became Deep in Our Hearts, King's questions were focused on how we came to movement, as well as our views on its legacy, rather than on what we actually did while we were in Mississippi. King never produced the documentary film, but this video interview provides my responses to his questions at Hunting Island.
