Chris Williams was a young teen when he headed south from his home in Massachusetts. He worked in Panola County for a year and did much of the early organizing of the farm co-op. Chris and Penny Patch were married the year following their return to Vermont. Both Chris and Penny continue to bring the story of the civil rights movement to their local communities.
