Introduction

The questions presented here for discussion sought to summarize the basic themes of the conference as gleaned from the position papers. Group four's questions included "the role of women in SNCC."

The steering committee has combined the questions which were raised in the workshops last night, with the questions and comments brought out this morning. They have been grouped arbitrarily and are to be taken up in workshops this afternoon. This was done in order to help the staff come to basic decisions about what our goals are. These decisions should be made in the workshops and then brought back to the general sessions to be presented to the rest of the staff for agreement.
