Introduction

   Radcliffe awarded me a tuition scholarship and a loan for my freshman year, bringing my family's cost for the year to $840. The following year the grant included tuition plus room and board, which brought down my expenses basically to the cost of books and incidentals, allowing me to attend this elite institution.
