Dear Mr. Fleming:

On behalf of the Ad Hoc Committee Concerned that President Fleming Does Not Meet With Women (AHCCTPFDNMWW), I would like to share with you some observations on our recent series of meetings. We feel that our recent discussions with you have been generally worthwhile, somewhat productive, basically non-adverserial, in fact friendly. What is more, together we seemed to have hit on a creative means of attacking a sensitive social issue with many complex facets.

The 44 women who met with you are looking forward to hearing your collected thoughts on the women's movement and women's issues, which we understand you will release at some point after you return from your vacation. Because we have received strong encouragement from virtually everyone who was aware of these "Summer Seminars on Sexism," we are planning to release a story on the project shortly. If you would be interested in coordinating efforts by doing a joint or simultaneous release, we would be happy to discuss this with you.

Thank you for your time and interest in the concerns of women over the past few months. We hope that both your time and interest will increase exponentially in the future. It is obvious that opening lines of communication is essential if we are ever to arrive at solutions for these complicated problems.

Sincerely,
[signed]
Jeanne Tashian
General Coordinator, AHCCTPFDNMWW
