Thanks to Our Hundreds of Volunteers—Especially State Coordinators

This project began with our hope to celebrate the centennial of nationwide voting rights for women by interesting history buffs as well as historians in researching and writing more than 3,600 biographical sketches of grassroots suffrage activists, whose names we had found in historical sources. That hope has been fulfilled by more than 1,900 volunteers. The authors of the sketches are identified in bylines in the headers to the sketches. Below we recognize state coordinators and other volunteers who have made significant contributions by recruiting volunteer authors and by copyediting and fact checking sketches. Their work and countless hours of research by authors of the sketches have made possible the preparation of the Online Biographical Dictionary of the Woman Suffrage Movement in the United States.
